This site provides information about the record company sleeves used for New Zealand pressed and distributed 7" vinyl 45s. There are some gaps and possible mistakes. If you can add a correct date or sleeve please add a comment or email us. The images of the centre labels are meant to be a guide. Some record companies produced multiple variations of their labels. Too many to show here. This site is dedicated to record sleeves.

Reprise

Reprise: 1961-66

In 1961 La Gloria Records started distributing Reprise records in New Zealand. I am unsure want sleeve they used. It could have been the La Gloria company sleeve or the plain wallpaper sleeve.  If you can shed light on this please leave a commit or email me.

Repeise: 1966-68

In 1966 His Master's Voice took over manufacturing and distribution and introduced an unique sleeve.

Sleeve 1966-68

The above sleeve was usually printed with both sides the same. But, there are some with An Air New Zealand ad printed on the back. The price is in dollars, New Zealand changed to the decimal system in 1967, so it was after that.

The orange sleeve was introduced in 1968. The sleeve and label included the Warner Bros Seven Arts' logo.

When H.M.V. was re-branded in 1972 the sleeve was the same as the one above but with "Distributed in New Zealand by E.M.I." printed on it. Which was used until 1974. Sorry I can't find a copy of it.

In 1974 Reprise singles were issued in Warner Bros company sleeve.

In 1975 Warner Bros., Elektra and Atlantic joined forces to create WEA. Reprise Records was distributed by WEA. Reprise singles were issued in the new WEA company sleeve.
